Enjoy the unusual environment of Pořešín Castle for your festive events
For romantic couples who love the peaceful surroundings and the unique atmosphere of a medieval castle, we offer ceremonies and weddings. The last documented wedding in the Middle Ages took place at the castle on May 1, 1418 when Markvart II of Pořešín married his sister Anna to Kamaréta of Žirovnice.
In 2013, after 595 years, the first wedding couple took advantage of our offer and spent their wedding night in the picturesque attic of the Castle Museum. The exteriors of the castle offer ample opportunity for a modest or larger ceremony with over 100 wedding guests. For wedding receptions, we use the museum with its large fireplace for roasting wild game. The unique setting with unusual lighting of wax candles and exhibits is the perfect choice for an unforgettable experience crowned with the entrance into your life together.
